We all have our favourite fashion muses. Whether you look up to the classic style of Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn or prefer the more unconventional sartorial of Lady Gaga and the Olsen twins, there’s nothing we love more than browsing through glossy mags to see what our style inspirations are rocking.

And, while we might not be able to afford their look, we can certainly imitate their style with more affordable (and often less wacky) pieces. After all, these celebs have drawn their inspiration straight off the fashion runways – and sometimes, they just literally put on a fresh-off-the-runway outfit.

From the catwalk to the street: fashion trends you can incorporate in your 2020 wardrobe

If you haven’t been paying attention to this year’s runway shows but want to know what’s trending in 2020 before anyone else, we’ve got you covered. As designers, we never take our eyes off the fashion runway shows, so we know what will be hot… or not.

Inspired by what we’ve seen, we’ve taken the best pieces of the runway and incorporated them into our latest designs. Here’s what you can expect to see more of in 2020.

Polka dots

That cute black and white polka dot pattern that’s only ever seen on young kids and your grandma? It’s making a huge comeback. Whether it’s a subtle design like our Piper Top or in two contrasting tones like our black and white Cayla Dress, you can be sure this cute style will connect all the dots on the street.

Fringe benefits

Revive your Gatsby-inspired shoes and jewellery because the fringe feature is back. This embellishment is ultra-feminine with a little bit of sass (and makes sashaying into a room even more fun.) While we saw it displayed on bags and jacket sleeves on the runway, we decided to introduce it to special occasion dresses to add an extra something to the mix, as seen on our Khaleesi Dress.

But that’s not all – fringe details are also making their way into jewellery. So if you’re not ready yet to commit to a garment, you can always opt for our molten gold and beige Seth Earrings.

Ruffles

Another nod to times past, ruffles were once the height of fashion in the ‘80s (believe it or not – just ask Madonna). However, this time around they’re a little more subdued. Dramatic and theatrical yet oh-so-flirty, we’re all about the ruffles in 2020 – and you will be too. Whether it’s a neckline that finishes with ruffles (like our Lucia Dress), or gorgeous tousles trickling down the sleeves (like our Parson Dress), you can find it here. Like asymmetrical ruffles on a top? Then our Ainsley Top is a must-have.

Nude neutrals

While we have it on good authority that the colour of 2020 is forecasted to be ‘neo mint,’ we couldn’t help but notice muted and neutral tones stood out more. The epitome of class and luxe, a neutral outfit from head to toe can make anyone look put together. The key is to layer textures and tones of the same colour, which adds sophistication to your look. Great for the office, after work drinks, or a casual brunch, incorporate more beige, cream and ivory into your wardrobe. Start here with the pleather Maison Skirt, Shannon Top and gold Midnight Tassel Earrings.
